Just wanted to update you guys and share a photo. my next appointment isn't until Tuesday. I"m scheduled to have the fixator removed on the 8th of August, however I want it off NOW!!!!! I am concerned about the cosmetic look of my toe. I think my toe bone needs to be lengthened. tell me what you guys think....
I think it does look a little short BUT I'm sure it's going to settle in time. Once you start putting full weight on your foot, I'm sure ligaments and tendons will keep adjusting and your foot will look just fine. :-)

ReplyDeleteHi - I don't think it looks short. It is def longer then your pinky, remember how far you have come! Im sure it will settle into place once the fiaxtor is off and yay for the surgery date!! I wish mine would be out by then but I highly doubt it. Your bone growth must be very good! Would love to see a pic of your X-rays! Take care of yourself.

ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! Mine is still a tiny bit short, even with the implant, but you don't notice it unless you compare both feet at the same time. As brachy sufferers, we are all way too focused on the tiniest details that most people don't pay any attention to. Enjoy your cute new toe!
